Cut three long lengths of heavy gauge wire and bend them into a heart shape. Twist the ends together at the bottom. Use floral tape, wrapping around and around, to bind the wire heart shape. Using florist's wire make up enough small bundle of wheat sheaves (using 3 or 4 heads to a bundle) to cover the heart shape densely. Leave a short length of wire at each end of each little bundle so that it can be used to attach the little bundle to the heart. Starting at the top point of the heart, take the first bundle, the top of the bundles pointing up, attach the bundle to the heart (see the picture to get oriented). Do this by first wrapping the little wire around the heart and then, using the floral tape, tape over the wire firmly holding the bundle in place. GOOD! Now, place the next bundle a little down the wire shape and then wire and tape just as you did the first one. Continue this until the one side of the heart is covered; then to exactly the same procedure to the other side. By now things should be looking pretty good. For the bottom, wire together about six or so bundles, spread like a fan, and wire securely to the heart's point. Carefully tape bundles down in place. Lastly, for good baking and good cheer, hang over the kitchen door or on a wall in the kitchen as your great-grandmother might have done.
